Areas of Expertise

My approach

Adolescence is often marked by intense emotional, cognitive and identity shifts. Through our experience as School Social Workers, Sara and I have obtained in-depth knowledge about the various challenges teens face, including school avoidance, self-harm, family stress, depression, anxiety, bullying and attachment-based trauma. We appreciate how difficult it can be for young people to feel understood, therefore, we always begin with developing a therapeutic relationship based on trust and acceptance.

Education and Certifications

I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. My professional training includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work. In addition, I have completed additional psychotherapy training including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy and EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing).
